“Phrase Board” is a placeholder name. The real name is the family's to choose.
Her phrases, in your voices, on buttons she can tap. Each button is a whole phrase — a script your family actually says — recorded by a family member. The app plays the recording; nothing is generated.
This app collects no data. It has no accounts and makes no network calls. Everything is stored on this device only. Nothing about taps or play is counted or recorded.
Parents and caregivers: press and hold the app name at the top of the board to open Setup, where you add phrases and record voices.

Play with pieces of her phrases — an idea borrowed from how clinicians describe children mixing their scripts. It's play, not a lesson. Tap a first piece, then a second piece, and hear them together.
Answer this to open Setup.
The math question always works, even if the PIN is forgotten.
Write the phrase exactly as your family says it. Add where it came from and what it seems to mean — those notes stay here in Setup, never on her board. Saving makes the button right away.
Say the phrase the way your family actually says it in that situation — in one whole take. A button with a recording always plays the recording. Where there is no recording yet, the device voice is a labeled fallback only, and it is an adult device voice — never a made-up child's voice.
For mix-up play, a grown-up records a first piece and a second piece of a phrase, split where your family hears the split. Pieces are recordings too — nothing is generated or re-voiced.
The starter situations are the family's to change. Renaming or adding a situation never moves a button that is already placed inside it.
Changing the screen language changes the words around the board only. It never translates a phrase or a recording, and it never moves a button. Spanish phrases are their own phrases, recorded in Spanish.
A plain list of her phrases, your notes on what they seem to mean, and their situations — to hand to a sitter, teacher, or therapist so every adult works from the same meanings. It holds your notes about phrases only; there is no record of her using the app, because the app keeps none.
A backup holds everything: phrases, notes, and voice recordings, sealed with a checksum. Keep the file somewhere safe; it is the only copy outside this device. Recordings never travel anywhere on their own.
Setup opens with a press-and-hold on the app name, then this check. Only a scrambled form (hash) of the PIN is stored — never the PIN itself.
The same boards, same order, on a grown-up's surface — for modeling phrases aloud without taking her device.

Scripts are communication. This app makes them tappable. Record a family member saying a phrase; the app plays the recording — nothing is generated.
